Federation statement on anti-Black racism by Wesley Crichlow, Board Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.

May 31, 2020

The Federation stands in solidarity with the families of George Floyd (Minneapolis), Regis Korchinski-Paquet (Toronto) and Breonna Taylor (Louisville).

Families, Black communities and others are hurting from inhumane acts of violence. Anti-Black racism and the senseless killings of Black people must come to an end.

As the Floyd, Korchinski-Paquet, and Taylor families, friends and others grieve their loss, the Federation grieves yet more Black lives lost to anti-Black racism and police violence.

Racism and anti-Black racism are alive. They eat at the core of our humanity. We all have a responsibility to eradicate them, and the Federation pledges to do the same.
